Yes! my package with my latest orders has arrived! after months and weeks of waiting, my baby is finally home! this is an order a put through deputy service Goody Japan; I’ll proceed to tell you about this long pilgrimage, but first I must get something out of my chest:
I AM OFFICIALLY IN LOVE WITH GOODY JAPAN
From what I read in GJ’s website they just send your stuff after holding it for a month, but they must have seen I had to be absolutely nuts to spend so much in comic books, so maybe they made an exception lol.
So in July I started searching doujinshi on ebay and doujinshikas websites like crazy and placed some orders. The thing is that I didn’t get the package until October because I placed more orders in August and asked the good guys in GJ to hold my stuff so they could send everything =P it won’t be cheaper since they ship everything with EMS once it reaches a certain weight, so I wouldn’t suggest to do what I did.
Anyways, after much waiting I finally got my package yesterday! I was planning on taking pictures BEFORE opening it, but I kinda forgot about that and opened right after school in my car, I was that excited hahaha!
As I said, I’m in love with GJ. the costumer service is great; if you order a lot of things like I did, they make a final receipt showing you exactly what items you ordered, with detailed individual costs so you know where the money you pay goes to. They even put how many paypal payments you made (I made 6). I kept count of everything and it all adds up nicely.
Packaging is another huge plus for the guys in GJ. Everything came wrapped in bubble-wrap and a couple of pieces of cardboard for the bigger books. The empty spaces left were filled with even more bubble-wrap so my doujinshis were protected from the weather and rough treatment (around here the mailman is quite careful with the stuff, but there’s no harm in being extra careful).
So to the stuff itself. All BL/yaoi doujin:
Everything is a lot of drooling-worthy Yu-Gi-Oh! doujinshis. I never liked the card game that much (ok I did play it in the GBA) but I’m still a hardcore puzzle-shipper. Although I think I’ve got enough for now… NOT.
and a bag with cell-phone charms.
Nothing very exciting though (at least for you guys =D). Just three of the same, just like this one:
I think I was lucky, because I tried to get into the website to get more of these stuff and couldn’t find it anymore. Maybe the things are cursed but hey as a puzzleshipper I’ll take my chances.
Buying doujinshi is like playing the lottery, sometimes. All you’ve got is a couple of previews asides the cover to look at, most of the time the sellers take shots of the pretty pages… and sometimes that’s all the book’s got ^^U So I gambled with some doujinshis and–AAAAAHHHH!
ZETSUBOUSHITAaaAAAaaA~~~!! all four were printed fanfics!! ;_; it wouldn’t be bad at all if I actually kept on with my Japanese studies, but I can hardly understand a lot with only two beginner classes under my belt. The upside of things is that eventually I’ll study a bit more of the language, so I can hold on to them. But hey if I wanted to read fanfics I’ve got thousands in English ^^U
One Gurren Lagann doujin, the third of a series were Kamina is a total douchebag. I have to admit I really like this doujinshika, her drawings are mindblowing and her Kamina is very manly and handsome, I’d almost make him mai husbando if Sebastian wasn’t around lol. Hopefully she’ll keep on drawing more and more and I don’t worry about buying anymore, since I’ve got Goody Japan ^^
In the end, I felt like a little kid on Christmas who actually believed in Santa and had a proper Christmas with the ever-sought ultimate present. I was so happy I put another order with Goody Japan, so for the ones who made it down here, I recommend you Goody Japan for those rare anime items you’d never imagine getting here or in regular online stores. Now you have no excuse to not get your hands on some rare items, go spend your savings lol.
